Summer

Summer has officially started (as of yesterday, anyway) and I haven't blogged a proper blog entry for ages. But I won't bitch about life, moan over sycophantic fangirls, angst for no good reason, or focus on the usual negativity I like to harp about.

Okay, yeah, but I went to visit an elementary school teacher of mine and she cringed (like my high school French teacher) when I told her about what my major is. She was quite happy about my minor, but when she mentioned that she would tell my now retired grade 7 teacher my major, she made another squick face. She thinks I should go into education. I am even more confused, but anyway...

I was at work yesterday and I was just looking at the sky and then I became really excited about going to London -- all the history, the electricity of being in a real world-class city (I don't care how you tout Vancouver; it's a great place to live, but it's not glamourous), the amazingly cool idea of being in the same city/country that so many great authors have lived in or been to. I think of London as being a bit like New York in the glamour department (famous people + liveliness), but much stodgier, more proper, and uptight (because NYC had a medley of hella interesting and helpful people).

In other news, I took some SCENE Movie Lover quiz a month ago or so and apparently I won some points and a new phone (Motorola Quench). I might sell the Quench or switch, though I have become quite attached to my current phone. Gah!

Hmmm, can't think of any other above average happenings in my life, other than having fun with my brother, helping him with filming.

Other things I intend on doing this summer are editing, writing, mixing more music, and playing Animal Crossing Wii (which I have had for ages, but haven't actually started to play because of homework).

I really need to go to the library.

I seriously wonder what Essar is up to nowadays. Though I sucked in his class, he was the best elementary school teacher I've ever had.

He was great! Oh come on, you didn't suck in his class! You kicked ass in the Social Studies game (if I got the name right)!
That was a fun year. :)
