Back to School

I always face the start of another term with a certain amount of trepidation. It'll be gone by the end of the week.

Relatively short entry tonight since I need a good amount of sleep to face my grueling 8:30am - 5pm day at school tomorrow. 4.5 hour long break for the win? NO. Definitely not. ;______;

At least textbook-selling has been going well. By Wednesday afternoon, I should be rid of my old Psyc textbook and my Math 221 text+study guide, as well. In terms of buying, is it worth my trouble to return my textbooks at the UBC bookstore and then buy them at Discount Textbooks (should they be in stock)? Eh, I'll leave it until Wednesday or Thursday to decide.

On the bright side of a generally craptastic schedule this term, I get off on Wednesday at 11am since there are no labs this week! This for sure means that I can catch the final WJHC games! :D I have to admit that I'm surprised that Canada beat the USA today given that the US was the favourite to win AND our goaltending has been rather streaky. I am now under the impression that Canada plays better when I don't watch the game (I don't count snatches of the game as "watching"), especially after the Canada-Switzerland game (which I didn't watch and got updates on Twitter about) and the Canada-Sweden game, which was exciting, but painful to watch in the shootout. So now I'm rather torn about watching the Canada-Russia game for gold.

And seriously, what is with Pierre McGuire and his love for Ryan Johansen? We get it already. Just go marry him, you silly bespectacled bald man.

Maybe it's just me and the fact that I'm tired, but the comments on this WJHC article on TSN are just lolarious. Come on, guys, I really don't think that the Swedish coach's comments were *that* bad.

Have a lovely (pshaw) first day of term 2 tomorrow, UBC students!
