It's been... an awful long time since I last blogged. In fact, I think it's been more than a week as it is now March. Despite the passing of time between my last blog post and this one, my life has remained static.
Well, I've found an article that actually seems to have viable and legitimate sources to back up the claim that Vancouver is the top city for "liveability" (that doesn't look like a word to me). So that's the end of that.
I also just found out today that that 10-year-old girl who sang GaGa's "Born this Way" and is now a YouTube sensation, will be performing with the GaGa herself. The little girl is also Canadian. Weird. And somewhat Bieber-ish.
Today at my co-op workshop, my coordinator went over the three types of jobs available to co-op students: QA, PM, and SD. QA stands for "quality assurance", which is essentially just a fancy way of saying "testing". PM is an abbreviation for "project manager", and SD is short for "software developer". Based on everything I've heard today during the workshop, I think that I really would like to get a PM job/placement. Granted, it of course would be based on what I apply for, but I definitely will be applying like mad for PM jobs. I don't have the patience for QA and I don't think I quite have the technical skills to be an SD. Aaaaaand I dunno, I just plain felt excited when my coordinator started talking about the role of a PM in the workplace. That being said, I think that I'll be concentrating most of my application efforts on PM and QA jobs since QA seems to be the most common one for co-op students.
I've found that the people I've most recently befriended think that I'm "confident", "assertive", a "people person", and a "heart breaker". People never cease to confuse me.
Alright, so my view of the upcoming week:
- Monday: 221 written assignment due, 221 lab due, 213 assignment due
- Tuesday: 121 quiz, 213 quiz
- Wednesday: 221 midterm
- Thursday: 101 assignment due
- Friday: 221 milestone due
Yaaaaaaaay, life = over.
I feel like writing. And getting all of my daydreaming out of my system. But I can't. There's no time.
