Delusion-Elle

delusional, since 1991 *pew pew*

OKAY. I need to blog about this. I have no school tomorrow so I'll catch up on reading and crap then.

Yesterday, two guys asked for my number.

Of course, there is a story behind this.

So yesterday was Thomas' birthday partay thing at his mum's fusion cafe restaurant (reasonable prices, I suggest going there especially if you want to meet Thomas since he WORKS THERE). When I first entered, I saw 3 girls there. They asked if I was there for Thomas' birthday thing and I said yes. Then we got moved to some window seats. Fast forward through introductions, add a dozen more people, and voila! You have a party. We ended up moving to a bigger table that fit everyone (not really) and elbow room was sparse.

Almost all of the guests who were there were from Windermere so maybe that made things... easier? It was easy talking to them. Well, they were pretty friendly with me. I mean, I sat between these 2 Windermere girls and the one on my right was leaning on me at one point and the one on my left had a hold of my arm. Like wow. If I was a lesbian, I probably would have been a very happy one. But no, I just felt very strange, like I kind of belonged but at the same time I knew that I really didn't. The non-Windermere people consisted of me, some childhood friend (and co-worker who I've never seen), and 2 of Thomas' classmates from Capilano (piano major girl and flutist girl).

Right. So I should probably get a move on talking about the 2 guys.

So it was 8:10pm and mostly everyone had left already. It was just me, girl on my left, Thomas, Thomas' brother, 1 Windermere guy, and the childhood friend/co-worker. We were in a booth and generally, we all were feeling pretty darn tired so we were acting loopy and being talkative. So we just got started talking about friends and school and etc. and we exchanged numbers. Well, Thomas told me not to give my number to one of the guys (part Japanese/Arts-Engineering dual degree/Windermere) but he got a hold of my phone and called himself so he has my number. And then later Thomas was leaning on me and part Japanese guy was leaning on him. That's when chilldhood friend/coworker guy (at least part Chinese, doesn't look full/Commerce maj./Music min./Alpha) sprang into action and asked for my number. He was kind of an awkward "I kinda sorta do and don't belong here" person like me that night and Thomas made no effort to stop me so we exchanged numbers. Plus both these guys are UBC people and it's always good to network and have extra safety nets should I need anything. UBC can be a scary place, you never know when knowing someone can save your ass.

These two guys are really nice and friendly (okay, so the phone-grabbing was not good). And I love how open they are. They volunteered themselves to be on my ever-growing list of gay best friends. Oh yeah. They're gay. They're awesome. I hung out with one today, and I saw the other just in passing but it's nice being able to put names to a few more faces out on campus.

So I guess I should share my gay guy friends, hm? START CALLING DIBS. j/k

Question: Should I let Thomas make a Facebook account for me or make one myself and beat him to the punch? @_@ He keeps threatening to make one just so he can "marry" me. Is it strange for me to find that... endearing? D:
