Delusion-Elle

delusional, since 1991 *pew pew*

My thoughts go out to the protesters in Egypt fighting for true democracy. Shit's getting pretty real and dangerous over there -- death toll is reportedly up to 100 and ancient Egyptian artifacts are being destroyed. In museums! To paraphrase my brother: "This is one for the history books."

I'll keep this entry short today because I would really like to type up my assignment tonight since I've pretty much written it all out in scratch. Unfortunately I've got a headache (they seem to be nearly daily occurrences now) and I've still got my 221 lab to finish by Monday and my music 101 assignment due Thursday. I also need to look up some books to borrow from the music library about Vivaldi. I'm going to set my alarm for 9:30AM tomorrow, methinks.

Today I lazed about at home working on this accursed assignment and watching the NHL All-Star Super Skills competition. Sadly, watching hours of hockey & hockey-related things (I caught the full players draft from yesterday online today) is probably what caused my headache.

I just realized something late last night. I really missed hanging out with people of different ethnicities and backgrounds in high school. Not to say that my group of high school friends were/are boring at all, but in elementary school I befriended all sorts of people. And that's what I like about university; befriending people of different backgrounds and getting glimpses into life of a different culture. I think that my grade 12 English teacher commented on this weird segregational phenomenon that seems to affect people and their groups of friends from grade 8 to 12. ... That's pretty much the only positive thing I can say about university at this moment.

Back to work!
