Delusion-Elle

delusional, since 1991 *pew pew*

Hello. I am back. I am not certain if this is temporary or permanent, but I felt like I needed an outlet where I could write lengthy posts that aren't saved on my computer, but aren't read by lots of people (i.e. tumblr -- honestly, personal posts have very little place on tumblr, or Twitter -- ditto).

My last post was back in July, and I feel as though a lot has happened since then. I suppose that's true since it is October now.

To follow-up on what I was blogging about back in July, me and my Australian pursuer are through. I don't have the time or energy to talk to him and it's been I think 3 weeks since I last talked to him. I'm happy to be free of him.

Just less than a month ago, I started my co-op work placement with a company downtown. I won't disclose which company exactly, but our products are for mobile devices and what I'm currently working on is a simple game for our platform. And the game is all my own, which is pretty darn cool, but also kind of nerve-wracking because it's my baby, and I'm 100% responsible for it. Work in itself is draining, I find, though perhaps it's because this working full-time thing is a very big change for me. It is incredibly nice not having homework, though I do miss my Music assignments. I've had dreams about taking Music classes, further cementing that I will most definitely be upgrading my minor to a major once I'm done my CPSC degree.

As it is October now, I am definitely excited about the NHL hockey season starting back up again. Funny look into my life: my dad, avid Habs fan that he is, bought a new phone just so he could stream Habs games anywhere. I am not even kidding. He really is pleased as punch that I was able to find streams for him. Granted, yes, my dad loves technology and electronics, but I thought that the phone he had was adequate.

My life has been focused around a few select things as of late: TV shows (Doctor Who, Community, Adventure Time), reading, gaming (L4D2, Sanctum), spending gratuitous amounts of money on food.

Hopefully I'll get to blog a little more in the next few coming days about some things that I've had on my mind, but it's 2AM right now and I'm dead tired.

Things to blog about in the future:

  • teen fiction (and the sad state that it is in)
  • my first 'clubbing' experience
  • Doctor Who
  • 2011 NaNoWriMo experience as it happens
  • going to the VAG (you'll only get it if you're a Vancouverite)

Good night!
