Delusion-Elle

delusional, since 1991 *pew pew*

So the NHL Playoff season is in full swing now with Game 1 behind everyone. Exciting, exciting! Unfortunately I have to study for finals. :( Ah, the life of a university student.

Tonight should be Chicago's last night in Vancouver (possibly for the season), and apparently the Blackhawks have been roaming around town, eating sushi and whatnot. Although I live in Vancouver, and I've mentioned this before, I'm not going to root specifically for the Canucks to get the Cup. I do think that that'd be nice given the fact that we've never won the Cup, but it almost seems too good to be true that we'd kick ass in the regular season AND also do well in the post-season. I'm just going to enjoy watching whatever hockey games are on when I can catch them and hope that one of the 2 Canadian teams can bring home the Cup this year.

And in the spirit of all that is hockey-loving and silly...

Dear Alexander Edler,
Why do you have to be so adorable when you rock the Robot?
Signed,
me.

I still can't believe that a political debate has been moved because of a Habs game. That is hilarious. But then, that's Canada.

My Stats final was today. It was alright, overall. We had a question about pokémon on the exam. To be more specific, "You are a pokémon trainer from Pallet Town. You speak to the local professor in your town, Professor Oak, and you decide to become a pokémon master. In the long grass, on average you can find 12 pikachu with a standard deviation of 3, and 34 pidgey with a standard deviation of 4. What is the probability of finding over 50 pokémon total in a day assuming that it follows an approximately normal distribution?" I'm fairly confident that I passed. Unfortunately the one or two questions that I weren't too sure about were worth quite a few marks. But oh well. It's over! Hopefully that's the last Stats course I have to take ever! I was actually starting to miss taking Math courses while I was preparing for this bloody exam. And missing Math courses is a something I don't ever want to feel again. It feels weird.

Okay, time to stay away from non-school-related things on the Internet until I'm done all of my final exams.
...
I had a dream about David Tennant.

Here's some reading material for you faithful readers. It's an article regarding a local controversy surrounding the possibility of a hospice being built at UBC, riiiiight by some luxury condos. And since News 1130's articles are fairly short, here's another one with a teensy bit more substance to it. Firstly, I want to know why anyone wants to live out by UBC when they aren't a student or worker there. Based on the interviews with residents during the news yesterday night, the majority of residents are neither. And secondly, I think the logic behind the protests is flawed. I understand that people are superstitious and I can respect that (to a certain extent), but to say that you don't want a hospice nearby because of restless spirits of the newly deceased that would bring does not make sense. And here's why: UBC Hospital. Yes, there's a hospital at UBC. People invariably do die there. It's not an obscure fact that UBC Hospital exists; these people must've known about it before moving in just 3-4 blocks down the road. Granted, the hospice would be right next door, but what, those body-hungry spirits wouldn't be bothered to float 3 or 4 blocks to reach you residents of Hawthorne Place? Riiiiiiiight. Well, maybe I'm just being incoherent as it is 1:30AM, but I don't see what the problem is aside from this being a classic example of "Not In My Backyard". Though, I don't think that a hospice has such negative connotations as a correctional facility or prison does. It's not as though any violent deaths occur in hospices (under normal circumstances -- horror movies notwithstanding).

Really, you can't even play the race card here (though if you broke it down further maybe there *is* a trend) because I've read editorials in the newspaper from Chinese-Canadians who support the building of the hospice. And my parents see nothing wrong with it, as well. Though, they're probably not the best examples of Chinese-Canadians given that they both pretty much said that I could date whoever I wanted, regardless of race. There's slightly more (surprising bias?) to it, but I won't go into it because it's still boggling my mind. My parents also don't give a damn about my marks ("6-0 and go! Just pass your courses!") so they're failing at fitting stereotypes. Ahem. Anywho...

I actually finished all of my readings for the weekend today! And I took in a few hockey games online! :O This is a miracle! I think the fact that I didn't have to make up for things I was supposed to have read before term started helped a great deal. That being said, tomorrow will be dedicated to prepping labs and maybe trying to learn some more programming languages.

For Co-op it's high recommended that I have a technical project so I'm thinking of making a new website (that will incorporate some fancy shmancy DHTML and PHP). The only problem is that I don't know what this website should be about/for. I've entertained the idea of it being another personal website of mine, but then again do I really want my online or musician identity mixing up with my work one? And if I kept it about my real-life-work-school-boring self, what the hell could I possibly offer other people on such a site? The only other idea I can think of is a fansite or something. >____> If I knew my full abilities (coding-wise) and had more time, I think I could make something really cool and kinda-sorta-maybe original. But I don't know how ambitious a project to attempt and I don't really have much time between assignments, labs, readings, volunteering, and attending class.
So. IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS AT ALL WHATSOEVER ABOUT WHAT KIND OF A PROJECT I COULD MAKE/HAVE, DROP ME A LINE/LEAVE A COMMENT/ETC.
They can be totally outlandish, too. I think that the examples in my coordinator's e-mail were a sudoku solver (I don't even get sudoku so never mind a puzzle solver) and a trading card game (wait, what?!). o_o

Anyways, I wasn't feeling so great physically today. Since I woke up at 9, then 10, then 11AM, I've had a headache. I didn't think it was so bad until coughing to clear my throat produced some sharp pains in my noggin. I think this is a side effect of the sleep deprivation accumulated during the week. I've also been grappling with back pain today. This I think is caused by me slouching in my desk chair and bending over my textbooks. Or maybe it's from carrying around heavy textbooks & a netbook in my old and worn backpack. I'm going to assume that my stomachache was caused by overeating (because the gnawing hunger I usually experience at 11PM has been haunting me *sigh*).

But enough about me. I'm not fishing for sympathy, I'm just venting, and in terms of Co-op, I'm asking for ideas since I'm all tapped out.

I awoke from a strangely vivid dream last night. It was like a music video, I think, but not one that I've seen anything remotely like. I wish I could remember what the song was and write it down. It sounded good. Even though I can't remember that exact song, the story to the dream was inspiring.

Let's hope for some more inspiring dreams like that tonight! And less achiness tomorrow!

Also, have a funny video:

Short entry today since my eyelids are feeling rather heavy and I should sleep soon before my sleep schedule loses all chances of achieving normalcy by January 4th. That sentence sounds incoherent, but oh well! I have but one point to make tonight.

If you aren't familiar with music theory, this post will make very little sense, sadly. Blame my subconscious on this one, folks. I just need a place to ramble about this a bit so I can look at it tomorrow and logic it out when I'm less sleepy.

I woke up this morning feeling very puzzled. Last night I dreamt that I was writing a music theory exam. I was naming chord progressions (with the Roman numerals) in a 3-voice passage and came upon these two chords. The first was EGD and the one immediately preceding it was ACE. I wrote V7 - I as the chord progression. For some reason, I knew that the answer they wanted was I - V, and it was at this point that I should've called bullshit on this "premonition" (because it was like I could see the answer key very clearly in my mind's eye) and made it into a lucid dream, but alas! I recall that in the chords leading to the confusing two in question, there were a lot of EGB chords, probably hinting that E was the focal pitch/root/tonic/etc, meaning V7 - I would be a tonicization. After the exam, I ended up in this weirdly grand cafeteria place that was this light and somewhat pale shade of blue. Oh yeah, and it looked like a cave, albeit carved out so that there were high ceilings. It kind of felt like I was attending a private school or some sort of literally underground Julliard -- haha, in my dreams. I went to sit at a table with some girls (who I don't think were entirely human, but my memory is fuzzy) I vaguely knew, but didn't talk to. Some guy came and joined us, bringing a salad for me and one for himself as well (who's writing the script for this dream? A salad?! Really?!). And then we discussed that ridiculously problematic chord progression. The end. *headdesk*

Now I am very bothered by what this chord progression is. I really really really think that I - V is wrong, but the stupid answer key in my dream said it was the answer so now I have to talk myself into not believing that.
Le sigh.

It's a quiet life

So on this glorious week off from work, what have I been doing?
Playing video games mostly, I admit, thus further proving and solidifying my role as little boy in my family.
But I have to say, I'm playing rather godly (stupid iPod autocorrect) girly games: Animal Crossing (I named my town Hogwarts and made uniforms for each house), DDR (the only form of exercise I can bear -- scoff all you want; haters gonna hate), and Sims 3 (the only way I can be a rockstar, illustrious author, and hit movie composer at the same time). Life is good (if not a little lonely, but oh well it seems like everyone's busy or is sick of me :P).
I want to work on more creative endeavors, but my parents are home practically all the time (they're both sick) and I hate being asked what I'm doing, or worse, having them look over my shoulder and slowly shuffle away.
And because my parents are both hoarse and hacking away, they've made me realize that I absolutely cannot stand the sound of 2 people simultaneously hacking their lungs out. Earrape to the nth degree D:
In a very sad way, I cannot wait for September to come.
Nah, not because of school (2 Math courses in term 1 are going to eat me alive), but because I am eagerly awaiting 2 new albums. There's a third one coming out too, but I'm only meh about that band now. And all 3 albums are being released (in North America) on the same day, so September 14 is starting to look like a freaking amazing day, though I bet that no HMV's in the lower mainland are going to have at least 1 of the 3 in stock on that day.
... And since no one understands what those last few sentences were about, I'll just clarify (or confuse you more): Kamelot's Poetry for the Poisoned, The Birthday Massacre's Pins and Needles, and Linkin Park's A Thousand Suns.

It's probably really weird and unhealthy to dream about someone 5 out of 7 nights in a row, but thankfully I've gotten past that.

I intend on going for my L test on Friday so I always have next week to try and redeem myself in the likely case of failure.
I would still rather do a million probably scarier things than drive, but I don't want to fall behind everybody else.
And it would be nice not being a slave to the transit system.

Feeling Better

A nice long sleep makes everything better :)
I think the jetlag was just making me bitchy LOL

I had some really vivid dreams last night.
One was that I was driving, and for once (in my dreams) I didn't run anyone over and I actually wasn't going at turtle speed. I was actually feeling confident and stuff, so yay for the healing powers of dreams?
Bah, I don't know. I just wasn't in a very good place mentally last night.

I had another dream that I skytrained with Savo and Tra and for some reason we got off at Main and Tra went home (I don't know how I convinced my dream self that she lives near there LOL) and me and Savo went to a Best Buy which was suddenly near there. The weird thing was that we bought chips at Best Buy and the checkout aisles looked like Superstore's xD

I had another dream about UBC and bubble tea and cakehouses, but it was so confusing that I think I'll spare you guys.

5.24.2010

Lalala

Caught up in homework and stuff yaaaay!

Lately I've been dreaming a lot, and the content has ranged from totally fantastical events, to self-insertion Harry Potter instances, to really messed up dreams about skytrain stations.
I'll spare you guys the main details, but I do like to write down my dreams in my diary, but lately it's gotten to be a bit too much that I've slacked off on writing this crazy shit down. I don't want to spend 30 minutes writing down a dream.

Flying creatures, nail guns, trolls, fireplaces, swimming pools, green, tattoos, elevators, line-ups.

Crap, it's almost 1am. Time for bed.

2.02.2010

Crazy Dream.

In my dream, I was at school, except it didn't look like school. There were a lot more red/pink/orange tones and really dumb rickety metal stairs (which doesn't make sense) which I tripped on. My friend from elementary school was there. It KINDA felt Hogwarts-ish, but definitely not as cool 'cause these stairs weren't MAGICAL, just rickety. -.-

Like, when we were going down the stupid rickety stairs, she was behind me and there was the caretaker by the stairs, but he was some kid that was our age and she said hi to him. But when she did that, I got baaaaaaaaaaaad vibes from him, as though he would figure prominently later as a killer or something. Well, he didn't, but you never know. D:

And then I was in a Chem lab room 'cause apparently I had a Chem lab to do and my TA explained what to do and then everyone left. So I was heading towards the bus loop (which was totally on the opposite corner of campus behind some hedges) when I realized that if I hopped on the bus and went home now, by the time I got BACK to school to do my Chem lab (it was 3:23pm and my lab would be done @ 5pm), it would be too late. Everyone else either stood around talking to their friends or they hopped on a bus. I saw the 49 (one of those brand spanking new ones) come and go and then I walked back.

This dream makes less sense than most. -___-

1.26.2010

A Dream.

I had another crazy ass dream last night.
It was a group of us (I think the group at last time's Cheesecake outing) and we were (wouldn't you know it?) out eating cheesecake LOL. But that's NOT where the craziness came in. So afterwards, we left and were wandering the streets outside. It was bright and something about the area seemed very touristy. And then, I'm not sure how it worked in my dream, but I knew that we were being chased by some bad guy. This caused us to duck into strange shops (something about indoor mini-golf and ice cream) and run back out x100. Okay, not 100 times, but it was becoming like a Scooby-Doo episode with all the running away from the bad guy and having him being SO CLOSE but not quite.

And Thomas just asked me to go see Avatar with him on Sunday.

1.23.2010

Another dream.

For the past 3 nights, I've had dreams.

The first, which occurred 3 nights ago, featured me in Buchanan in one of those lounge-y areas with some girl with blue hair. Yeah, I don't get it either, but we were talking and I don't recall about what exactly, but we were friends and when she got up to leave, I knew somehow that she was going to leave me forever.

The second dream (2 nights ago) was boring and school related, I think. It was so boring that I don't even remember it, but I did, like, yesterday so I know that I had it. Does that make any sense?

Anywho, onto dream number 3 (last night). What I first remember is that I was walking around Gordon Park and the sky was grey. I was walking up Commercial and was pretty much at 49th (which doesn't make sense since that's on the EXACT OPPOSITE side of the park from where I live -.-). I remember that the trees along 49th were especially close together and dense. So I was standing kind of on the grass, waiting for the bus when I see my mom walking up to me along Commercial (same direction I came from). She asked what I was doing and then I explained that I was going to go buy birthday presents for friends. Then she suggested that I just go to the corner store and that she'd accompany me. So we walked up that little drug store on 49th and Victoria. Except, I THINK we walked there. I have absolutely no recollection of walking there. But when we got there, it wasn't at all like the drug store in actuality. We wandered inside (and it was like really white and barren like Wal-Mart or something with empty shelves) and I ended up wandering up to some counter to ask for a preloaded giftcard thing. I was given one and so I went to line up. While I was in line for this one register, some guy started talking to me telling me that I didn't need to pay for the preloaded card thing here. And I told him, "Uh, yes I do to activate it. We had these at HMV. I know that you need to pay for them to be activated". So that ended that conversation. Then my mom called me over because some other check out line was shorter so I scooted over there. Except some dumbass lady was ahead of me at the counter and she couldn't count out her change or something. I was pissed off. When I finally got to the cashier, I realized that it was this girl that I've seen on the bus 3 times now (49 @ 2:05pm from UBC). She's got short hair, a facial piercing, and she dresses very stylishly. The last thing I remember is seeing that dumb guy again and saying, "I should have stayed in your line :T" since he actually finished his transaction before I even got to do mine.

So the end.

1.13.2010

Bad Dream.

I woke up in a strange way this morning. I was in the middle of a bad dream when I was jolted awake by my alarm. When I woke up, I was just lying on my back with my arms like glued to my sides. I dunno about you, but I've never woken up like that. And maybe it was because I was in the middle of a dream, but I woke up exhausted and I remained that way for the whole day. I fell asleep on the bus on the way to school, and on the way back home. I am currently thanking myself for my day off tomorrow.

My bad dream was... strange. I remember some sort of factory setting with conveyor belts. Then I remember this dark red/brown mansion with a winding road leading up to it (which kind of looked cartoonish because of the vibrant colours). Somehow I ended up inside and my mom was there belittling and berating me and all I know is that I just kept crying and everyone was mad at me for crying which only made me cry harder.

I guess I've had worse dreams, but I just felt really really really crappy. And this is probably the last dream (that I was consciously aware of/remembered) I've had in a month's time.

And following my dream-mom's biting words, today my brother was working on an assignment where he had to discuss some Canadian cities that were worth visiting. One of the ones my mom suggested was Victoria. So my brother's sitting there thinking of what to say about BC's boring-ass capital city and he asks my mom, "What's good about Victoria?"

I was in the room at the time, working on my own homework and I wasn't aware of what he was talking about so I gave a big "What!?"

My mom answered by saying, "I don't know what's good about Victoria, she can't even get a gay guy to like her, never mind a straight one."

My reaction: a combination of D: & T____T

My mom's response: "Oh well, Thomas is one I guess, but he barely even knows you so he doesn't count."

Jesus frickin' Christ.
I don't even know how I feel about that. I mean, I love my mom, but the combination of that bad dream and what she said was just kind of... Yuck and bad feelings all over.

I am so tired of everyone pushing for this "ideal" situation of "get a boyfriend (to be politically correct) significant other, get married, have kids, yay". You don't need all that business to live a rich, full life. Maybe my mind will change later, but I hate kids and I'm happy with the life I'm leading right now (okay, a little more creative freedom + INSPIRATION would be nice). And not everyone gets to live that "ideal" situation so stop pushing for it. There are tons of alternative lifestyles out there. Yes, I get that people just want the "best" but in the end I just want to be self-sufficient, independent, and happy.

I guess, what I'm trying to say is:
DON'T BOTHER ME ABOUT BOYFRIENDS, ETC. RIGHT NOW PLS. I LIKE SINGLE LIFE, MY GAY BFFS, AND WRITING. Eye candy is nice, though. ;D

12.13.2009

Another Dream.

I first woke up at 8am this morning, but thankfully I fell asleep again. I next woke up at 10-something and then I think that I was in and out until 11:30am.

I think that this dream occurred between 10-something and 11:30am.

So I was at Metrotown. Ya, already sounds pretty freaking lame, right? >_> So I was at an HMV of some sort. Remembering one specific scene, I know that it's the one I used to work at several floorplans ago. I spotted some Montreal Canadiens history DVD thing that my dad had voiced some interest in. Actually, I remember checking it out for him last Christmas. D: Anyhow, I looked at it in my dream and somehow consulted my mom about it. She wasn't actually there with me in the store, but it was like it cut to a grey-white dream sequence type of a thing where my mom wasn't actually physically visually there, but I knew she was advising me. o___o So yeah. Back to shopping at HMV, the dream sequence thing ended and I was like, "Hey, where'd it go?!". I think that someone bought it while I was in dream sequence land =_______=. Anyhow, I left and wandered around to where Superstore is. Except I didn't go to Superstore. I went to the Beard Papa's spot. But it wasn't a Beard Papa place. It was a Baskin Robbins. -___- I was pretty thirsty at the time and I was hungering for a tasty milkshake. I actually debated getting one of those mango/strawberry/kiwi smoothies, but for some reason I knew that I had already had one... earlier that dream...? Er, so I stared at the flavours for a bit. Beside me was some asian chick who turned and started talking to me as if she knew me (HA, STORY OF MY LIFE) and then she started chatting up one of the workers there as she knew him apparently *shrug*. I lined up, ignoring her annoying chatter, and decided that I would ask to try some samples before deciding on a flavour for the milkshake. Also, one of my supervisors was working there as a lowly nub worker. 'Twas strange so I didn't really say hi to him. So this blonde chick was ahead of me in line and had asked to try some weird purple/white/orange flavour (that I was going to ask to try too) and the manager there noticed that the flavours were tagged wrongly or something. And then I wondered if maybe I should get a scoop of ice cream instead of a milkshake.
The worst part: I woke up before getting to sample any ice cream!!!!

GUYS, I AM ROYALLY PISSED AT MYSELF FOR WAKING UP. D:<

12.10.2009

Strange Dream.

So I woke up at 6:15am this morning, but I went to bed at around midnight. I have a feeling that I wasn't able to fall asleep until 1-ish so I'm wondering why I'm not napping right now. :| My vision's just a little blurry 'round the edges. And I still have to study hard for my CPSC and Engl finals tomorrow. BUT THEN I WILL HAVE A WEEKEND DEDICATED TO PHYSICS, which shouldn't be too bad because it's open book, I thiiiiink.

Feeling pretty decent right now. Just had a scream&smashkeys session with my piano so I feel a lot better now about everything. :D Except my throat is kinda sore. But oh wells.

I had a strange dream. I think that I had to work on some assignment for French class (like gr. 12 French, I think). And the assignment was to write a musical. o_o No small feat, I can assure you. So I was sitting in the SUB (MAKES NO SENSE ALREADY) with these guys in my group. I think that they were all of different ethnicity... one of them being Philippino. And that's all I remember about them. The earliest I can remember in my dream is getting the dialogue/lyrics down in English, which prompted me to say, "Okay, time to translate." However, my groupmates decided that it would be better to take the script and start singing it >__> In English!! But it sounded pretty good. I can't even give you a brief idea of what the freaking musical was about. All I remember is after everyone sang their part and whatnot, we saw Meryl Streep perform some song from the musical (which again makes no sense since we had to COME UP WITH IT OURSELVES). She ended her performance by playing the flute which had me thinking "OMG I CAN TOTALLY DO THAT" except she was no good at it 'cause she had no arm strength so she couldn't even hold her freaking flute up (which is pathetic and again makes little sense).

I could go more in-depth about all the little nuances that were RIDICULOUSLY WRONG in my dream, but I'm just muddled in my brain right now.

10.30.2009

Hmmm.

I'm really bad at this coming up with a title business.
By the by, have I mentioned the awesomeness that my brother possesses now thanks to his Beginning Guitar teacher? No, I don't think I have. I will (hopefully remember to) take a picture later and upload it.
All I can say for now is that I hope I can trade my 4 decent-looking guitar picks for this bit of awesomeness he has. :)

Oh man, I just had this really bad dream about work. And then I woke up at like 6-something and couldn't really go back to sleep because I was all scared. I guess the worst part is that my dream took a real fear I have about today's shift and just played it out and twisted it around in more horribleness. So what happened at dream-Playland was that I picked up the wrong float and went to the wrong ticket booth. And then nothing was working and it was so busy that none of the supervisors had time to come and help me. Essentially, I was just feeling pretty darn awful. Now I'm scared that I'm going to have déja-vu (or maybe déja-vécu -- still got some of that French mojo going!). :(

I could blog about something else, but I'm just feeling really anxious and jittery about work right now. Like, oh my gosh, I feel like having a heart attack and I haven't even gotten to work yet. :(

And because I neglected to mention it yesterday, it has been confirmed that Alex is a broad. He practically said so himself. :)

I know some of you have been very excited lately (or happy for me, I've seen both terms used), but I DON'T KNOW, GUYS. D:
Anyhow, my mom told me not to let my heart get broken, but my reply was: "But then I can write better songs."
And her response: "Hmm, that's true actually."
So she left it at that.
Whatevs. I figure anything and everything I go through eventually is going to find its way into lyrics somehow, somewhere.
So there ya go.

10.18.2009

Crazy Dream

Over lunch, I told my brother about the crazy dream I had last night. He wouldn't stop rolling his eyes.
So screw him. I can't help what I dream ;_; I'd like to be able to, but I can't.

TEH DREAM:
I was at my elementary school, in the gym. At first I was sitting up on some (normally non-existent) balcony, one seat away from the keyboardist/composer/lyricist of Nightwish. :O Yes, that was pretty freaking awesome (at least, for me it was). He even dropped a scrap of paper with some lyrics (crossed out) which I promptly took. I even read the crossed out lines and got all excited about them 'cause they weren't horrible or anything. I WISH I COULD REMEMBER THEM. Turns out that Nightwish was going to be performing, or so I thought. Anyhow, it was just their (new) singer singing, with a bunch of DT students playing on the instruments (way to ruin a cool dream, high school =___=). Anyhow. Nightwish's old singer was there to introduce the band (which was really only their new singer) and that confused me since there's some bad blood between her and the band now. But whatevs. And so the new singer began to sing this ballad from their newest CD, but the WORDS WERE ALL DIFFERENT. So I felt pretty stupid not knowing the words. And then her mic died and everyone was BLARGHBOOOYOUSUCK and I was all like trying to remain faithful, sticking up for her and all. The old singer was not too impressed, just to let you know. But they got the tech issues out of the way and the show continued. Except that was the only song. And suddenly I was on the floor with all the audience seated in floor seats. That was fine. I think the new singer's cute and all so I was cheering and trying to make her feel better and then she laughed (which kinda messed up her singing) -- cue exasperated old singer. When the song was done, everyone got up to go and I saw the keyboardist go by and I waved and he waved back. And then I was outside, following the crowd.

So this next part of my dream was even more whacked out than the first. Apparently the way out of the gym was by walking on the roofs and edges of old, stone buildings (very castle-esqe). For some reason I was being a weirdo and was trying to walk on these stone suspended ceilings, but they weren't stable AT ALL so I stepped back onto the roof of a building and kept following the crowd. So we somehow got to street level again, and I remember now that there was no one there. >.> Pretty typical in my dreams, I guess: nothing makes sense. I walked forward, past a house and ended up on the 49th avenue edge of Gordon Park. RETARDED, MUCH? I walked down along the Argyle side of the park and noted the strange gravelly paths and patches on the grass at the park. They were big patches, but I didn't really get why anyone would need a gravelly patch to play sports on. Concrete is better, imo. Then I walked past the playground. AND BOY DID IT GET OVERHAULED. It was pretty freaking fancy. Right. So then I turned right, like I was going home.

Except it was not at all the alley I usually walk through. I passed a street sign which I thought said "My Selene" and turned right onto what SHOULD HAVE BEEN the street I live on. Except it was like the alley of a bunch of businesses. Very strange. I continued walking along this path until I reached the end building, which was a food joint or something (I'm getting a Dairy Queen vibe, but I'm not sure). The strange thing was that there was like a wooden work bench in this parking lot behind the DQ and I was rousting around looking at the stuff, contemplating going in and getting some ice cream (I crave food even in my dreams :( ). And some lady heard me. She had tanned skin and short black, wavy hair. She was also kind of short and stout, like an old Chinese lady with dark skin. Or maybe she was Hispanic. It was hard to tell. All I know is that she was coming and I didn't want here to see. So I hid behind a dumpster or something (which was in the middle of the parking lot - WTF?). But when she came out to look, she walked past the dumpster thing and saw me. And then she kept walking. I don't get it. She didn't even come back. And then two teens came into the parking lot (a guy and a girl, I think) and they asked me something and then I had some cup or jug thing to fill with water. So I went back down the alley and ran back to the street sign to check if it really did say "My Selene". But it didn't. Upon closer investigation, it actually said: "Myo"-something. I think it was Myos-something-with-a-g-in-it, but I don't remember. Or maybe it was Myog-something-with-an-s-in-it. I think it might be Myogenesis? BUT THAT'S NOT EVEN A WORD. So my dream ended-ish when I went and filled the thing with water and brought it back to the guy and girl.

THE END.
It was a strange dream, but there were SOME decent parts to it. Okay, time to read Chem.
