Another dream.

For the past 3 nights, I've had dreams.

The first, which occurred 3 nights ago, featured me in Buchanan in one of those lounge-y areas with some girl with blue hair. Yeah, I don't get it either, but we were talking and I don't recall about what exactly, but we were friends and when she got up to leave, I knew somehow that she was going to leave me forever.

The second dream (2 nights ago) was boring and school related, I think. It was so boring that I don't even remember it, but I did, like, yesterday so I know that I had it. Does that make any sense?

Anywho, onto dream number 3 (last night). What I first remember is that I was walking around Gordon Park and the sky was grey. I was walking up Commercial and was pretty much at 49th (which doesn't make sense since that's on the EXACT OPPOSITE side of the park from where I live -.-). I remember that the trees along 49th were especially close together and dense. So I was standing kind of on the grass, waiting for the bus when I see my mom walking up to me along Commercial (same direction I came from). She asked what I was doing and then I explained that I was going to go buy birthday presents for friends. Then she suggested that I just go to the corner store and that she'd accompany me. So we walked up that little drug store on 49th and Victoria. Except, I THINK we walked there. I have absolutely no recollection of walking there. But when we got there, it wasn't at all like the drug store in actuality. We wandered inside (and it was like really white and barren like Wal-Mart or something with empty shelves) and I ended up wandering up to some counter to ask for a preloaded giftcard thing. I was given one and so I went to line up. While I was in line for this one register, some guy started talking to me telling me that I didn't need to pay for the preloaded card thing here. And I told him, "Uh, yes I do to activate it. We had these at HMV. I know that you need to pay for them to be activated". So that ended that conversation. Then my mom called me over because some other check out line was shorter so I scooted over there. Except some dumbass lady was ahead of me at the counter and she couldn't count out her change or something. I was pissed off. When I finally got to the cashier, I realized that it was this girl that I've seen on the bus 3 times now (49 @ 2:05pm from UBC). She's got short hair, a facial piercing, and she dresses very stylishly. The last thing I remember is seeing that dumb guy again and saying, "I should have stayed in your line :T" since he actually finished his transaction before I even got to do mine.

So the end.

o_o

So I got a pair of earrings for Christmas. I tried to put them on today.
They were too big for my piercings. I forced them in.
My right ear kind of hurts right now. And it's itchy.
That isn't good, is it? D:

In other news...
GUESS WHO HAS HER OWN HELLO KITTY GUITAR PICK NOW? :D

Strange Dream.

So I woke up at 6:15am this morning, but I went to bed at around midnight. I have a feeling that I wasn't able to fall asleep until 1-ish so I'm wondering why I'm not napping right now. :| My vision's just a little blurry 'round the edges. And I still have to study hard for my CPSC and Engl finals tomorrow. BUT THEN I WILL HAVE A WEEKEND DEDICATED TO PHYSICS, which shouldn't be too bad because it's open book, I thiiiiink.

Feeling pretty decent right now. Just had a scream&smashkeys session with my piano so I feel a lot better now about everything. :D Except my throat is kinda sore. But oh wells.

I had a strange dream. I think that I had to work on some assignment for French class (like gr. 12 French, I think). And the assignment was to write a musical. o_o No small feat, I can assure you. So I was sitting in the SUB (MAKES NO SENSE ALREADY) with these guys in my group. I think that they were all of different ethnicity... one of them being Philippino. And that's all I remember about them. The earliest I can remember in my dream is getting the dialogue/lyrics down in English, which prompted me to say, "Okay, time to translate." However, my groupmates decided that it would be better to take the script and start singing it >__> In English!! But it sounded pretty good. I can't even give you a brief idea of what the freaking musical was about. All I remember is after everyone sang their part and whatnot, we saw Meryl Streep perform some song from the musical (which again makes no sense since we had to COME UP WITH IT OURSELVES). She ended her performance by playing the flute which had me thinking "OMG I CAN TOTALLY DO THAT" except she was no good at it 'cause she had no arm strength so she couldn't even hold her freaking flute up (which is pathetic and again makes little sense).

I could go more in-depth about all the little nuances that were RIDICULOUSLY WRONG in my dream, but I'm just muddled in my brain right now.

:T

What the CRAP?

So I'm going to a Giants (hockey) game on the 30th. -.-"
With a bunch of people I don't know + 1 Jackass.
At least I can just concentrate on watching the game between the bouts of awkwardness.
Why do I keep getting dragged into these strange, strange situations?

And if his freaking movie marathon is on the 31st... Then I will be seeing him for like 2 effing days straight. Ridiculous. D: That's more than what I've got planned with my OWN friends.

ADSFJKL; Is it like he has no other friends or something?
Okay, if I had 6 hockey tickets, can I think of 5 other people to invite without resorting to some jackass friend that I've only known for like a month?
I can think of like 4 other people most immediately, and a couple of possibilities for that coveted 5th spot.
...
So yeah. :T

I'm going to stop trying to read into things.

Regression

Maybe it's just me, but it feels like we regressed.

Jerseys -> The Incredibles -> Pixar vs. Dreamworks -> Friends who get drunk, but not us -> "i can has phone #?" (NOT ASKED BY ME)-> hockey

.__."
It was like speaking drought. And then a monsoon.

lulz, monsoon. Reminds me of Tokio Hotel, which reminds me of GUITAR HERO. :D
Okay, just got my happy groove back. x) Can't wait for winter break!

11.27.2009

TRIUMPHANT

I just noticed that the word 'triumphant' has 'phant' in it. Like 'elephant'. And 'phantom'. I wonder if there is any sort of connection between those words... HMMM...
A TRIUMPHANT PHANTOM ELEPHANT. x)
Can you tell that I'm in a good mood? :)

ANYWAYS, I am feeling jubilation and triumph and YAYNESS right now. :D

So... in CPSC lecture this morning, Jackass turned to me and said that his mark on assignmeng #2 was bad. Then he corrected himself and said that it was "okay, actually, just not really good". And then he asked what my mark was for it. I had no idea since I'm not so effing keen that I check webCT in the morning for marks and such (like, I hadn't even been notified of its being added to my marks in that My Grades module on the My Vista page). Since he had his laptop with him, he pushed it over to me so I could log in and check. So I did.

I admit that I logged in and clicked the navigational links with much trepidation. What if I had epic failed it? What if I had gotten zero? What if I really can't do computer science?! What if I'm really destined to be a hobo?!

GUESS WHAT, MY LOVELY LOVELY READERS?!

I beat that jackass. Yuss. On that very same assignment for which I needed his help on (and essentially used his algorithm thinger for). BOO-FREAKING-YEAH.

So that resulted in him being all like "WTF?!" and me just laughing 'cause that's pretty funny/awesome/yippee. I got 88.7% on it and he got 84.9%. Sooooo, refresh my memory... 86% constitutes an A, n'est-ce pas?

I THINK THAT I AM PRETTY FREAKING AWESOME RIGHT NOW, PLS DON'T RUIN IT FOR ME. :DDDDDD

STICK THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT, YOU JACKASS. MUAHAHAHAHA.

Have a nice day, everyone. :)

Taking a page.

Taking a page from Alex's book...
Lesson #1: GET ENOUGH SLEEP THE NIGHT BEFORE A MIDTERM. ESPECIALLY IF IT'S A RETARDED SUBJECT LIKE CPSC.

That was like the worst midterm I've written so far. Mmm yeah, actually, it was even worse than Math. And Math was pretty bad. D:
Effing sample exams mean NOTHING. Nothing, I tell you! D:<

I just wish that I had thought more clearly and had had more time.

11.02.2009

D:

This is mothereffing ridiculous. I can't even do this stupid Physics homework.
And I've never had trouble with Physics homework before! D:
I don't get it. I just don't.

11.01.2009

Thinking.

And then I start to think and I don't feel as good.
I really really need to put my playlist on my phone.
Or else I will DIE tomorrow. I just know I will.
I need to be distracted.

There is going to be a lot of this. I can just feel it. Nanowrimo should be "national song writing month" instead. I would pwn the goal so fast...

Don't forget
Never forget
Can't forget
But sometimes we try
To ease the feelings
The lack of feelings
With forget

If I forget
Can I forget?
Must forget
Remember nothing
The whirlwind that
Never existed
Please forget

Only ever
In my mind
Played out foolish
Heart tricks
Deceit
Betrayed by the
Beating in my chest

I'm such an idiot

Okay.

I hate to be racist, but...
*sigggggggggggggh*
Okay, there's this group of 15 Chinese people standing right in front of me. And they're speaking very loudly. In Chinese. I am so white-washed, I can't even tell if it's Mandarin or Canto (lol ya ya, I fail).
There is a covered area nearby. Not just the one right in front of me. Could they kindly please stand there?
I hope they don't want to buy tickets. I imagine that it would be like them yelling at me in heavy accents.
I am making assumptions. Maybe they will make an ass out of me. But I kind of doubt it this time.
I feel overwhelmed.
Some lady just asked for a refund 'cause the ride is temporarily not working.
And this motherfreakin' plexiglass in front of me makes it impossible for anyone to hear me.
It's only 7:04pm.
It's going to be a very looooooooooooooong night.

I'm really bad at this coming up with a title business.
By the by, have I mentioned the awesomeness that my brother possesses now thanks to his Beginning Guitar teacher? No, I don't think I have. I will (hopefully remember to) take a picture later and upload it.
All I can say for now is that I hope I can trade my 4 decent-looking guitar picks for this bit of awesomeness he has. :)

Oh man, I just had this really bad dream about work. And then I woke up at like 6-something and couldn't really go back to sleep because I was all scared. I guess the worst part is that my dream took a real fear I have about today's shift and just played it out and twisted it around in more horribleness. So what happened at dream-Playland was that I picked up the wrong float and went to the wrong ticket booth. And then nothing was working and it was so busy that none of the supervisors had time to come and help me. Essentially, I was just feeling pretty darn awful. Now I'm scared that I'm going to have déja-vu (or maybe déja-vécu -- still got some of that French mojo going!). :(

I could blog about something else, but I'm just feeling really anxious and jittery about work right now. Like, oh my gosh, I feel like having a heart attack and I haven't even gotten to work yet. :(

And because I neglected to mention it yesterday, it has been confirmed that Alex is a broad. He practically said so himself. :)

I know some of you have been very excited lately (or happy for me, I've seen both terms used), but I DON'T KNOW, GUYS. D:
Anyhow, my mom told me not to let my heart get broken, but my reply was: "But then I can write better songs."
And her response: "Hmm, that's true actually."
So she left it at that.
Whatevs. I figure anything and everything I go through eventually is going to find its way into lyrics somehow, somewhere.
So there ya go.

Strangeness of Life

Before I make my lunch, wash my hair, and work hardcore on my CPSC assignment, I'm gonna blog.

So today was a fun day. Kinda. As fun as a school day (especially Monday) can be. I did my CPSC labwork at home so me and Serena ran around looking for the oh-so magical MUSIC LIBRARY.

But alas, it evaded us. D: On the way, we discussed a great many things. We discussed Clara Schumann, the OUCH-MY-FRAKKING-EARS quality of lots of "new world" classical composers (circa 1900-present), piano majors, CSI, and a great many other things I've forgotten. But on our epic journey, we also learned about each other. I learned that she sees colours with numbers, and she learned of my sound/colour weirdness.

Hm. Okay. And a bit of weirdness that I have noticed for a week now.
So in my CPSC lecture, there's this (cute, kinda baby-faced, white) dude who, last Monday & Wednesday, chose to sit 1 or 2 seats away from me. On Monday, his friend came 20 minutes late and sat between us. That might not sound too weird, but this is a class of 100+ and he didn't sit (kinda/not really) with me two weeks ago -- it just started happening last week. "So what happened on Friday?" you maybe asking. Well, on Friday I have a discussion far far away right after CPSC so I sit at the very back. So I sat down at the back, right by the door. And then I saw that dude sit down kind of near where we usually sit and he cranes his neck and starts looking around. I don't know what that means. I can assume a great many things, but I won't.

Right. So today is Monday, which means I have CPSC lecture. This morning in lecture, I sat in roughly my usual spot (sometimes I switch between row 5 and 6) and lo and behold, guess who sat down 1 seat away? Yeah, that's right. And then his friend came in maybe 5 minutes later and sat between us. But I totally saw his friend trying to look either at me, or at what I was writing (which was a combination of lyrics/prose). Again, I don't know what to make of this -- NO ASSUMPTIONS, NO, BAD BAD.

What I DO know is that that dude and his friend are hilarious. Like seriously. For one of the examples in class, our prof asked for another name for a counter variable (a variable that counts how many times an action is done) and they yelled, "COUNT CHOCULA!" I don't think that I've laughed this hard during CPSC ever before.

AND this dude is smart. Seriously. This CPSC assignment that I'm struggling over, he was DONE last week. I AM SO JEALOUS.

So I guess the questions currently on my mind are:
- why the crap is this dude suddenly sitting within 2 seats of me?
- was he looking for me (holy crap why?) on Friday?
- can he help me with my assignment? (pretty please?)
- will I ever be able to play the guitar as well as Dr. House? D:

TIME TO WASH MAH HAIR.

Crazy Dream

Over lunch, I told my brother about the crazy dream I had last night. He wouldn't stop rolling his eyes.
So screw him. I can't help what I dream ;_; I'd like to be able to, but I can't.

TEH DREAM:
I was at my elementary school, in the gym. At first I was sitting up on some (normally non-existent) balcony, one seat away from the keyboardist/composer/lyricist of Nightwish. :O Yes, that was pretty freaking awesome (at least, for me it was). He even dropped a scrap of paper with some lyrics (crossed out) which I promptly took. I even read the crossed out lines and got all excited about them 'cause they weren't horrible or anything. I WISH I COULD REMEMBER THEM. Turns out that Nightwish was going to be performing, or so I thought. Anyhow, it was just their (new) singer singing, with a bunch of DT students playing on the instruments (way to ruin a cool dream, high school =___=). Anyhow. Nightwish's old singer was there to introduce the band (which was really only their new singer) and that confused me since there's some bad blood between her and the band now. But whatevs. And so the new singer began to sing this ballad from their newest CD, but the WORDS WERE ALL DIFFERENT. So I felt pretty stupid not knowing the words. And then her mic died and everyone was BLARGHBOOOYOUSUCK and I was all like trying to remain faithful, sticking up for her and all. The old singer was not too impressed, just to let you know. But they got the tech issues out of the way and the show continued. Except that was the only song. And suddenly I was on the floor with all the audience seated in floor seats. That was fine. I think the new singer's cute and all so I was cheering and trying to make her feel better and then she laughed (which kinda messed up her singing) -- cue exasperated old singer. When the song was done, everyone got up to go and I saw the keyboardist go by and I waved and he waved back. And then I was outside, following the crowd.

So this next part of my dream was even more whacked out than the first. Apparently the way out of the gym was by walking on the roofs and edges of old, stone buildings (very castle-esqe). For some reason I was being a weirdo and was trying to walk on these stone suspended ceilings, but they weren't stable AT ALL so I stepped back onto the roof of a building and kept following the crowd. So we somehow got to street level again, and I remember now that there was no one there. >.> Pretty typical in my dreams, I guess: nothing makes sense. I walked forward, past a house and ended up on the 49th avenue edge of Gordon Park. RETARDED, MUCH? I walked down along the Argyle side of the park and noted the strange gravelly paths and patches on the grass at the park. They were big patches, but I didn't really get why anyone would need a gravelly patch to play sports on. Concrete is better, imo. Then I walked past the playground. AND BOY DID IT GET OVERHAULED. It was pretty freaking fancy. Right. So then I turned right, like I was going home.

Except it was not at all the alley I usually walk through. I passed a street sign which I thought said "My Selene" and turned right onto what SHOULD HAVE BEEN the street I live on. Except it was like the alley of a bunch of businesses. Very strange. I continued walking along this path until I reached the end building, which was a food joint or something (I'm getting a Dairy Queen vibe, but I'm not sure). The strange thing was that there was like a wooden work bench in this parking lot behind the DQ and I was rousting around looking at the stuff, contemplating going in and getting some ice cream (I crave food even in my dreams :( ). And some lady heard me. She had tanned skin and short black, wavy hair. She was also kind of short and stout, like an old Chinese lady with dark skin. Or maybe she was Hispanic. It was hard to tell. All I know is that she was coming and I didn't want here to see. So I hid behind a dumpster or something (which was in the middle of the parking lot - WTF?). But when she came out to look, she walked past the dumpster thing and saw me. And then she kept walking. I don't get it. She didn't even come back. And then two teens came into the parking lot (a guy and a girl, I think) and they asked me something and then I had some cup or jug thing to fill with water. So I went back down the alley and ran back to the street sign to check if it really did say "My Selene". But it didn't. Upon closer investigation, it actually said: "Myo"-something. I think it was Myos-something-with-a-g-in-it, but I don't remember. Or maybe it was Myog-something-with-an-s-in-it. I think it might be Myogenesis? BUT THAT'S NOT EVEN A WORD. So my dream ended-ish when I went and filled the thing with water and brought it back to the guy and girl.

THE END.
It was a strange dream, but there were SOME decent parts to it. Okay, time to read Chem.
